OAKLAND -- Bay Area residents should expect wet weather early this week, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service said Sunday.
A storm is expected to hit the North Bay hills Monday evening and arrive in San Francisco and the East Bay by early Tuesday, said meteorologist Larry Smith. Showers will continue through Wednesday evening.
San Francisco and the East Bay could see as much as three-tenths of an inch of rainfall while San Jose is expected to get less than a quarter of an inch, Smith said.
Roadways are expected to be slick so drivers are advised to use extra precaution.
