The Justin Bieber South of the Border Shame Tour continues.

Mexico's president has denied meeting Bieber, despite the singer tweeting that such a meeting took place, according to the Huffington Post.

How does anyone get that wrong? Seriously ... I want to know. How?

Bieber's tour of Latin America hasn't gone well. He got in trouble for spray-painting a wall in Brazil. He kicked a flag during a show in Argentina, which is punishable by four years in jail. He angered fans in the same country by not showing up for a photo op for which fans paid hundreds of dollars (his manager Scooter Braun said the Beebs had food poisoning). Oh, and a Argentine lawyer is accusing the 19-year-old pop star of sending bodyguards to attack a photographer outside a Buenos Aires nightclub.

But this latest one is just weird. President Enrique Pena Nieto's office put out a tweet late Monday that read: "@Presidenciamx denies meeting between President @EPN with the singer @justinbieber."

That was a response to a tweet from Bieber's official account saying "just met some amazing mexican beliebers and the presidente of mexico and his familia."

Or not.
