UNION CITY -- A power outage affected more than 6,000 PG&E customers in Union City and Fremont Tuesday evening, a spokeswoman for the utility said.
About 6,300 customers lost power between 6:11 p.m. and 6:36 p.m., PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said. Power was restored to about 5,100 customers as of 7:20 p.m. after utility workers discovered damaged equipment, Morris said.
Power was restored to the remaining customers at about 8:10 p.m.
