OAKLAND -- A 64-year-old man who had been missing since Sunday was found Tuesday afternoon in downtown Oakland, police said.

Michael Evans was located at 2:27 p.m. in the 400 block of 10th Street, not far from where he was last seen on Sunday morning.

The Oakland man has Parkinson's disease, difficulty walking and has other physical and mental problems, police said. He was taken to a hospital for unknown injuries, police said.

On Sunday morning he told his roommate he was headed to visit a friend in Jack London Square and that he would return on Monday. He never returned and investigators found a possible suicide note that Evans left in his home.
