OAKLAND -- UC Berkeley students in the Cal Forestry Club will be selling Christmas trees starting Sunday.
On Saturday, students will harvest the trees from the Sierra foothills and sell them to help raise money for their annual trip to the national convention of the Society of American Foresters.
Most of the trees sold are white fir and incense cedar, and as fresh as they come, said a UC Berkeley spokeswoman.
Tree sales will run daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Sunday through Dec. 13, on the south side of Mulford Hall on the north side of the UC Berkeley campus. Trees will sell for $6 a foot, and students will also be selling decorated wreathes and pine cones at the hall.
