OAKLAND -- A 22-year-old man is expected to survive after being shot following an argument Friday night with a teenage acquaintance, police said.

The man, who has not been identified, was listed in stable condition early Saturday and is expected to survive.

The shooting happened around 9:20 p.m. near the corner of 59th Street and Telegraph Avenue, according to police. It is unknown what the 22-year-old and the shooter, who has only been identified as an 18-year-old, were arguing about when the teen pulled a gun on the victim and fired.

Police unsuccessfully searched a home on the 400 block of 59th Street, thinking the suspect may have fled and hidden inside the home.

The teen remains on the run Saturday.
