FREMONT -- Police on Saturday were still investigating a shooting outside a supermarket in the Hub shopping center Thursday night.

No injuries were reported.

Officers responded to a 9:10 p.m. call reporting gunshot in the Safeway parking lot on Argonaut Way, near Mowry Avenue.

Witnesses told police they heard two shots fired and saw two vehicles speed out of the lot. One of the vehicles was described as a gray Nissan Altima carrying four people, police said.

While officers discovered two shell casings at the scene, detectives found a matching vehicle at a home in the South Sundale neighborhood, about two miles south of the supermarket.

Investigators interviewed several people at the home, but no arrests were immediately made, police said.
