SAN FRANCISCO -- Two people were injured in a stabbing in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood this morning, a San Francisco fire official said.

The stabbing was reported at 7:42 a.m. near 13th and Mission streets, a fire official said.

Both victims were taken to San Francisco General Hospital with stab wounds, the fire official said.

The extent of the injuries was not immediately available.
