BENICIA -- A Benicia family awoke Monday morning to a man sitting on a couch in their living room who refused to leave, police said.
The man, identified as Tai Aczon, 20, of San Francisco, was found at about 5 a.m. sitting on the couch inside a home in the 300 block of First Street, police said.
Aczon had allegedly entered the apartment by forcing open a rooftop sky light, and was searching for the 19-year-old daughter of the homeowner, whom he has known since high school, police said.
Police found through investigation that Aczon had begun texting and calling the woman to profess his love for her since around Christmas, spokesman Lt. Frank Hartig said.
