SAN JOSE -- A 46-year-old San Jose man has been identified as the victim in the city's second homicide of the year, a fatal stabbing that occurred early Saturday morning.

San Jose police on Monday said 46-year-old Anthony Thompson was killed after being stabbed at least once. Thompson was found lying on the sidewalk in the 400 block of Willow Glen Way at about 1:40 a.m. after someone called 911.

Police say circumstances surrounding the murder are under investigation.
