OAKLAND -- A man shot Jan. 4 in the Fruitvale district died from his wounds Tuesday morning, police said.
Police are still trying to confirm the man's name and contact relatives. He is believed to be an Oakland resident.
The shooting happened about 3:25 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 3600 block of International Boulevard. The man died about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Hospital.
Oakland police Officer Nick Calonge said the man apparently got into an argument with someone and was shot.
Police don't have a motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made.
The man's death is the city's second homicide of the year.
