Kanye West will pay more than $250,000 to the guy he beat up earlier this month in the waiting room of a Beverly Hills chiropractor, according to TMZ.

That sounds like a pretty good seven minutes worth of work.

Sources familiar with the negotiations told the website the man, who allegedly used racial epithets at West's baby mama Kim Kardashian before taking the beating, has agreed to the civil settlement and won't move forward with a criminal case.

However ... he may have no say in the matter. Law enforcement sources reportedly told TMZ that prosecutors haven't decided whether to charge West with battery. But chances are slim now that the alleged victim has become uncooperative ... and richer.

The source also said it's unlikely the racial epithets would sit well with a jury -- especially with West fans on a jury.

Then again, West is planning on marrying Kim Kardashian, so that could swing momentum back to the victim.

TMZ said the victim initially wanted an amount in the vicinity of upper six figures. So West might have won this one. The site wasn't able to reach West lawyer Shawn Holley for comment.
