Queen Latifah can handle the spotlight.

She took the giant stage that is the Super Bowl and charmed millions of TV viewers on Sunday with her version of "America the Beautiful."

The Grammy Award-winning singer, who also has an Oscar nomination to her credit, seemed as comfortable as could be as she sang on field at enormous MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

It was a sweet, friendly version, offering more charm than vocal gymnastics.

In all, it was the perfect partner for opera diva Renee Fleming's classy, high-flying take on the national anthem.

Latifah's performance was part of a full lineup of entertainment, which also includes a halftime show featuring Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
