SCOTTS VALLEY -- Three Oakland women were arrested Monday in Scotts Valley after allegedly stealing over-the-counter medications vauled at $800 from local pharmacies and drug stores.

Briana Mitchell, Tamia Spates and Markeyah Zinn, all 19, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy after police in Scotts Valley, just north of Santa Cruz, spotted a car that matched the description of a vehicle involved in commercial burglaries, according to Lt. John Wilson.

According to Wilson, the medications were stolen from Walgreens and Nob Hill and allegedly aimed for resale. The suspects were arrested and booked at the Santa Cruz County Jail.
