OAKLAND -- A person shot in the city's Santa Fe neighborhood on Saturday was expected to survive, and authorities continue to look for the shooting suspect, police said Sunday.

The shooting happened in the 900 block of 57th Street around 5:50 p.m., police said. Other details, including the gender and age of the victim and the shooting suspect were not available.

Police said the shooter used a handgun and fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction. Police did not have a description of the vehicle.
