Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Brooke Mueller is trying to stop a test that could prove her substance abuse caused serious damage to their 4-year-old twin boys, according to TMZ.

Sources connected to the situation told the website Mueller initially agreed to having Bob and Max tested for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, but changed her mind and asked a judge to stop the test, saying the kids are fine and it's not necessary.

Sheen suggests the kids have serious issues, and an FAS test could help their treatment.

TMZ previously reported that one of Sheen's other ex-wives, actress Denise Richards, told authorities Bob and Max tortured the family dog and viciously attacked her two daughters, strangling, punching and throwing feces at one of them. The boys were also allegedly violent at school, hurting other kids and punching a teacher in the face.

Oh yeah, they sound fine. No problems there.

Sheen and Mueller will appear in court Thursday.
