OAKLAND -- Two people were arrested in connection with a Sunday morning shooting inside a North Oakland McDonald's restaurant that left one man wounded, police said.
Police responded to a report of a shooting at 9:30 a.m. inside the restaurant at 45th Street and Telegraph Avenue in the Temescal neighborhood, police said. There, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man, who was taken to a hospital, is expected to survive.
Before the shooting, police said the victim got into a verbal fight with a man and a woman, which ended in the man shooting the victim.
Within hours of police putting out an alert with information on the car the pair left in, the man and woman were arrested after someone spotted them in the area of Richmond Boulevard, near Broadway. Officers said the woman was in possession of the firearm used in the shooting.
Their names, ages and places of residence were not released. The suspects and the victim are regulars at the restaurant, police said.
