FREMONT -- A 50-foot construction truck with a structure on tow tipped over on the Automall Parkway on Tuesday morning, creating a traffic headache for those trying to access Interstate 880.
The truck, which police said carried on its bed what appeared to be a portable building, tipped over around 9:45 a.m. just east of I-880. Police said the truck driver was not injured.
Three lanes of traffic were blocked by the truck, and delays were expected around the Pacific Commons area until approximately noon, as police directed traffic around the truck.
Tow trucks were summoned to clear up the collision but were encountering traffic difficulties reaching the scene, police said.
