The Oscars pizza guy finally got his tip.

When Edgar Martirosyan got the call to deliver pizza to Hollywood's Dolby Theatre during Sunday night's Academy Awards, he thought he was bringing dinner to some writers. Then he found himself onstage with host Ellen DeGeneres, in front of 43 million viewers at home.

After passing out slices to some of Hollywood's biggest stars, he seemed to walk away without a tip. DeGeneres admitted, "I don't have any money," and Sandra Bullock gave a shrug.

The co-owner of Big Mama's and Papa's Pizzeria was gone by the time DeGeneres passed around a Pharrell-style hat for tips, which eventually amounted to about $1,000, which he got Monday on DeGeneres' daytime talk show, according to MTV.com.

That must have been some good pizza.

He brought DeGeneres another pizza on Monday, and talked about his experience at the Oscars.

"I was shocked," Martirosyan said. "It was really crazy."

He said he was particularly happy to serve Julia Roberts, whom he called "the woman in my dreams."
