BERKELEY -- A city block in South Berkeley was shot up for the second time in three days, the latest shooting on Monday night wounding two teenagers, police said.
Multiple residents called 911 at around 9:40 p.m. reporting possible gunshots on the 1500 block of Harmon Street, police Officer Jennifer Coats said. Officers found bullet casings and damage to cars and homes but no victims, Coats said.
Minutes later, Highland Hospital reported a 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds arrived at the Oakland hospital.
A shooter sprayed the same block with bullets at 11:35 p.m. Saturday. No one was injured in that shooting.
Police are asking anyone with information on the shootings to call Berkeley's homicide division at 510-981-5741 or the anonymous tip line at 1-800-222-8477.
