SAN JOSE -- Forward Logan Couture was back in the lineup Thursday after a one-game absence as the Sharks played the Winnipeg Jets at home.

Couture, fourth in the team with 47 points in 57 games, said Thursday morning it was "50-50" whether he'd play as his lower leg continued to heal after he blocked a shot against the Calgary Flames three days prior. Couture missed Tuesday's game in Edmonton.

In Monday's 2-1 shootout loss in Calgary, Couture headed straight to the locker room after he blocked consecutive shots by the Flames' Mark Giordano late in the first period. He took one shift in the second period before retiring for the night.

"I looked down and saw that there was a lot of blood, so that's when I went to the room," Couture said.

Among the scratches for the Sharks were Raffi Torres, who missed his 10th straight game as he continues to recover from general soreness in his surgically repaired knee. Other scratches were forwards Adam Burish, who is likely out for the rest of the regular season, and Freddie Hamilton, and defenseman Scott Hannan.

The Sharks started Antti Niemi in goal.
