FREMONT -- Police are seeking information about a hit-and-run driver who struck a motorcyclist and then a vehicle Monday night, officers said.
The first collision occurred at Mission Boulevard and Brown Road about 8:30 p.m., police said.
The suspect was driving east on Mission Boulevard, then turned left onto Brown Road when he drove into the path of a motorcyclist traveling west on Mission Boulevard, according to police.
The motorcyclist could not stop and struck the motorist. A passenger in the vehicle ran to help the motorcyclist, but the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, police said.
The motorcyclist suffered a severe injury, officers said.
The driver got into a second collision with a vehicle at the north end of Research Avenue. The driver then fled the scene on foot, police said.
Investigators are following up on suspect leads but do not have anyone in custody, according to officers.
