OAKLAND -- Police are looking for a man who lured a girl from an elementary school and sexually assaulted her Friday.

The assault took place in the 950 block of E. 28th Street near Bella Vista Elementary School at about 3:15 p.m., according to police.

The girl later returned to the campus and told an adult, who contacted police.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between the ages of 20 and 25, about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 with an average build and dark hair. He was wearing a blue and black jacket and black shorts and drove a silver SUV.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the special victim's section of Oakland police at 510-238-3641.

Crime Stoppers of Oakland is offering a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to an arrest in this case.
