ALAMEDA -- A phone store in Alameda was robbed at gunpoint on Monday, police said.
The robbery occurred at 7 p.m. at the Verizon store at 2671 Blanding Ave. near the Fruitvale Avenue bridge, according to police.
Police were in the early stages of the investigation and did not immediately release information on the number of suspects or if police had anyone in custody. There was no word on what was taken.
