OAKLAND -- A San Leandro man was arrested for recklessly driving his motorcycle -- performing wheelies and other stunts -- Wednesday afternoon on eastbound Interstate 580 after he was spotted and followed to his home by a California Highway Patrol plane.

Around 3:40 p.m., CHP airplane A37 spotted a motorcyclisttraveling between 100 mph and 120 mph on I-580 just east of the Macarthur Maze, said CHP Officer Sean Wilkenfeld. The aircraft followed him down I-580, where officers saw McDonah doing wheelies and other stunts on the bike.

The airplane followed the motorcyclist to his home, where he parked the motorcycle and went inside. Guided by the plane crew, ground units made their way to the home and arrested ¿Corey McDonah on suspicion of reckless driving, Wilkenfeld said.
