Hip-hop titan Kanye West, modern-rock champs The Killers and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will headline this year's Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival.
Grammy winners Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, indie-pop darlings Death Cab for Cutie, country sensation Kacey Musgraves, electronic-music duo Disclosure and alt-rock heroes Arctic Monkeys are among the other top names on the bill, which was announced Tuesday. More acts are listed below.
Tickets for the three-day festival -- which runs Aug. 8-10 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco -- go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday at www.sfoutsidelands.com. Three-day ticket prices are $255 (advance), $275 (regular) and $595 (VIP). For more information, visit the festival's website: www.sfoutsidelands.com.
No word on when -- or if -- single-day tickets will be made available. Also, daily lineups and schedules won't be announced until closer to the festival date.
West is arguably the most newsworthy name among the headliners. The hip-hop star, who performed at both the SAP Center in San Jose and Oracle Arena in Oakland in October, released the most widely acclaimed and discussed album of 2013, "Yeezus." West will be making his Outside Lands debut.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be making its second Outside Lands appearance, having helped kick off the inaugural festival in 2008. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002 and has sold over 80 million records worldwide. Petty and crew are scheduled to release their 13th studio album, "Hypnotic Eye," later this year.
The Killers, who headlined a two-night stand at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium last April, have delivered several smash singles and sold over 22 million albums worldwide.
This will be the 7th annual Outside Lands. The festival has previously hosted such top-name acts as Phish, Metallica, Stevie Wonder, Muse, Arcade Fire, Pearl Jam and Radiohead. Paul McCartney, Nine Inch Nails and the Red Hot Chili Peppers headlined last year's sold-out affair.
Here are other acts on the lineup:
