DALY CITY -- Two Daly City firefighters were hospitalized Wednesday morning after two fire trucks collided on their way to a call, officials said.
Emergency crews responded about 9:30 a.m. to the crash in the 1100 block of Brunswick Street, North County Fire Inspector Klaus Zolinskis said. The two injured firefighters were transported to an area hospital, where they are in stable condition.
At least one parked car sustained significant damage.
By midafternoon, the accident scene was still blocked off to residents.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known and remains under investigation, Zolinskis said. The stretch of Brunswick Street was closed throughout Wednesday morning while crews cleared the damaged rigs from the residential neighborhood. Traffic was cleared to move through the neighborhood about 1 p.m.
