SAN FRANCISCO -- Two people, including a toddler, were killed in a one-alarm fire at a home in San Francisco's Sunnydale neighborhood Thursday morning, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at 9:54 a.m. in a two-story building at 76 Brookdale Ave.
The blaze was controlled at 10:20 a.m., fire officials said.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries suffered in the blaze. A male toddler was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital in critical condition but died from his injuries there, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.
