FREMONT -- Fremont police are investigating two early morning armed robberies that took place within 15 minutes of one another last week at 7-Eleven stores.
The first robbery occurred about 3:30 a.m. on April 17th in the Mission San Jose District at a 7-Eleven at Washington Boulevard and Ellsworth Street around 3:30 a.m., said police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.
Then at 3:45 a.m., the second robbery took place at a 7-Eleven store at Mission Boulevard and Mohave Drive around 3:45 a.m., Bosques said.
Both appear to have been committed by the same pair of suspects armed with guns, Bosques said. Cash was also taken from both stores.
Police said the first suspect is described as a light-skinned man between 20-30 years old, 5-feet 10-inches to 6-feet tall with a skinny build and black short hair. He wore a white paisley print shirt, a black long-sleeve shirt, dark jeans and black Converse Chuck Taylor high-top sneakers with a white sole.
The second suspect was described as a man who is 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. He wore a black ski mask, black long-sleeve shirt, dark pants, and white basketball shoes, possibly older style Air Jordans.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to contact Fremont police at (510) 790-6800.
