ALAMEDA -- Police have located a missing at-risk, 10-year-old boy at an Alameda shopping center, about four hours after he left school without his parent.

Steven Hendrieth was found at Alameda South Shore Shopping Center about 7 p.m. Thursday, Lt. Anthony Munoz said. He was not injured.

The boy, who has run away from home before and suffers from several medical conditions, was last seen at Haight Elementary School, located at 2025 Santa Clara Ave., about 3:10 p.m. Thursday, police said.

On previous occasions he had been found in Oakland, and police in that city were notified and dispatchers broadcast his name and description to officers for several hours.
