SAN JOSE -- One of the two fights at the end of Game 4 between the Sharks and Los Angeles Kings pitted defenseman Justin Braun against Kings forward Justin Williams.

That was Braun's first fight since the 2012 post-season when he had a rough go of it against St. Louis Blues defenseman Roman Polak.

"I think I fared a little better than in my fight before with Polak," Braun joked Saturday. "It was good not to just be manhandled. It was a lot better performance this time."

After that last fight, St. Louis coach Ken Hitchcock came up with a well-publicized line — "Don't open the Roman Polak door" — that Braun did remember.

"Yeah," Braun said, "hopefully there wasn't any good line after that one."

The Sharks shrugged off the fights and 30 minutes in penalties in the final minute of their 6-3 loss in Game 4 as just part of any playoff series. But this one has been more physical than most and that isn't expected to change.
