OAKLAND -- An 88-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening after he argued with a neighbor in North Oakland and then reportedly shot him, authorities said.
The victim was grazed in the arm with a bullet and was treated at an area hospital, police said.
The name of the suspect, who lives in the 900 block of 57th Street where the shooting occurred, was not released.
The shooting occurred about 6:15 p.m. following a verbal argument between the two people, who live in separate residences at the same address. Police did not say what they were arguing about.
After the shooting, the man drove away in his truck.
Police were able to track the vehicle, stopped the truck at 14th and Adeline streets and arrested him. The gun was recovered.
