Beck and The National, two of indie-rock's top acts, will headline the second annual First City Festival in Monterey.

The Naked and Famous, Phantogram, Best Coast, Dawes, Cults and Blind Pilot are among the other top names on the bill, which was announced Monday.

The indie rock and pop festival is set for Aug. 23-24, once again at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at www.firstcityfestival.com. Two-day passes are $159.50 general admission and $289.50 VIP. There is also a layaway option. No word on when -- or if -- single-day tickets will be made available. Also, daily lineups won't be announced until closer to the festival date.

The First City Festival, which is named after Monterey's claim as the official "first capital" of California, debuted in 2013 with a lineup that featured over 30 acts, including Modest Mouse, Passion Pit, MGMT, Father John Misty, Neko Case and Capital Cities. It drew over 10,000 attendees on each of its two days.
