My understanding is that coach Mark Jackson is scheduled to meet with Joe Lacob and Warriors executives this morning -- right about now -- to determine whether he will remain on the job.

This looks to be heading toward a decision either this afternoon or shortly afterward, and all signs are pointing toward Jackson being fired or leaving in whatever manner is officially announced.

At least that's the expectation from several sources I've talked to -- and was reported by Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski this morning.

But this meeting is the pivot point, I'm told, and the decision is ultimately up to Lacob.

There remain many issues between Jackson and GSW brass, and not just basketball issues, it has been emphasized to me.

What Wojnarowski reported earlier this week has been reiterated to me: There are no front-office staffers likely to go to bat for Jackson.

In fact, one major flash point, according to a source: Jackson and assistant GM Kirk Lacob (Joe Lacob's son) have zero relationship since a big blowup recently.

It's not clear whether Kirk Lacob is in this meeting, but there are no doubts that he would not be counted as a Jackson supporter in any way.

I'm also hearing that staffers throughout the building -- business department, etc. -- have been asked about Jackson and those interviews are not going well for him.

But again, this is Joe Lacob's call.

While he sits down with Jackson today, it's possible they could find a way. Possible. Not at all likely.

Meanwhile, I'm told that the Warriors have had no serious talks about a replacement -- though there is a general short list, they won't get to that level until Jackson's fate is 100 percent decided.
