OAKLAND -- A 7-year-old Oakland girl who went missing Monday night was safely located on Tuesday, police said.

Kyianna Orear was found at an undisclosed location in East Oakland at 8:27 a.m., said Officer J. Moore.

Kyianna disappeared about 6 p.m. on Monday from her home in the 1400 block of 73rd Avenue. Details about what she may have been doing or how she was discovered were not immediately released.

But police said investigators were speaking with her Tuesday morning and that she was safe.
