Justin Bieber is being investigated by Los Angeles police for an attempted robbery, according to TMZ.

Apparently no one told the Los Angeles police that the world belongs to Justin Bieber and they just write parking tickets in it.

A San Fernando Valley woman is alleging Bieber and his entourage got into an altercation at a batting cage with some other guys (Cue "West Side Story" score). The woman says she went for her phone to document the action -- because, after all, that's a citizen's civic duty in 2014 -- when Bieber demanded to see her phone so he could delete any photos. She says when she refused, Bieber reached into her purse and took the phone.

She says a wrestling match ensued, resulting in Bieber ripping the phone from her hands. But he couldn't get to the photos because the phone was locked.

Has this guy ever thought maybe asking nicely would work?

The woman told police Bieber handed the phone back and demanded she unlock it so he could see whether she took photos of whatever happened at the batting cage (which was likely Bieber cowering behind his bodyguards while screaming "Hold me back ... no really"). She showed him that she had not, in fact, taken any pictures and told him she and her 13-year-old daughter just wanted to say hi to him. At which point, she said, he screamed at her, "You're humiliating yourself in front of your daughter. Why don't you just get out of here?" Her daughter allegedly started crying.

Well, if anyone would know about humiliating themselves in front 13-year-olds ...

TMZ reached out to Bieber's people and reportedly hadn't heard back Wednesday morning.
