The search for a Santa Rosa mother who had gone missing after dropping her children off at school Tuesday morning ended Wednesday when she was found dead near Bolinas, a Marin County coroner's lieutenant said today.

The coroner's office responded to the search area at 12:14 p.m. when an effort led by the National Park Service, the Marin County Sheriff's Office and Santa Rosa police turned up the body of 41-year-old Jade Dashiell, Lt. Keith Boyd said.

Dashiell was first reported missing at about 4 p.m. Tuesday and her white GMC Yukon was found at the Palomarin trailhead near Bolinas about an hour later, officials said.

Investigators searched the area until dark and resumed Wednesday morning.

Before she was found, Santa Rosa police said Dashiell might have been despondent over recent life events and a gun was missing from her home, leading to concerns that she might commit suicide.

Boyd did not release her cause of death but said that foul play is not suspected.
