SAN PABLO -- A family of four was displaced Thursday after a fire in their home that may have been caused by an electrical malfunction.
The fire broke out at 8 p.m. in the 2900 block of Flannery Road and quickly spread throughout the house. The family was able to escape uninjured, but their Pomeranian died in the fire.
The Contra Costa Fire Department is still investigating the cause, but firefighters believe it may have been electrical in nature, said Acting Battalion Chief Steve Akre.
Damage is estimated at $150,000
