MORGAN HILL -- A man with a Mohawk hairstyle tried to rob a woman Thursday night at gunpoint in the Target parking lot and later robbed a Subway store, according to police.

Police have released a photo captured by video surveillance.

The woman was walking through the Target parking lot on Cochrane Road at about 9 p.m. when the man drove up next to her, brandished a shotgun and demanded her purse, according to police. The woman refused, and the men drove off in a white four-door sedan, possibly a Chevy Cavalier or Dodge Neon, police said.

About five minutes later the same man walked into the Subway Restaurant at 250 Cochrane Plaza and robbed the store at gunpoint, police said. The man fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man is described as a white man in his 20s with a slim build and a Mohawk hairstyle. He has a tattoo on his outer left wrist and was last seen wearing a black "Punisher" T-shirt, green shorts and black/white shoes.
