A motorist tossed a bag of suspected cocaine from his car window as an officer was pulling him over during a traffic stop, police said.

The 29-year-old man was also found in possession of marijuana and "shaved" keys during the stop, which occurred about 8:15 p.m. May 19 at Park Street and San Jose Avenue.

The officer allegedly witnessed the man discarding the bag from the driver's side window as he pulled up to the curb, according to the Police Department. Along with narcotics charges, the man faces a charge of driving with a suspended license, police said.

MONDAY, MAY 19

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- Vehicles were reported stolen about 6:25 a.m. in the 1900 block of North Loop Road; about 7:15 p.m. in the 2900 block of Main Street; and about 8:35 p.m. at Oak Street and Pacific Avenue.

  • BURGLARY -- An attempted burglary was reported about 12:10 p.m. in the 300 block of Creedon Circle. The suspect fled after being confronted by the victim, police said.

  • OUTSIDE AGENCY ASSIST -- The Oakland police requested help from an Alameda police K-9 unit about 10:10 p.m. during a search for armed robbery suspects.

  • COMMERCIAL BURGLARY -- Someone who used a rock to break the front window of a business in the 2800 block of Harbor Bay Parkway stole a laptop computer from inside the building. The break-in was reported about 5:30 a.m.

  • PUBLIC INTOXICATION -- Police arrested two men after they allegedly got into a physical fight about 3:45 p.m. at Washington Park. Both men, who are ages 45 and 49, were drunk, police said. The older man was also wanted on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to make a court date.

  • MARIJUANA POSSESSION -- A juvenile who officers contacted while investigating a report of a suspicious person was arrested after he was allegedly found in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen about 9:25 p.m. in the 2300 block of Blanding Avenue.

  • MISAPPROPRIATION OF PROPERTY -- A 44-year-old man faces a charge of theft or misappropriating lost property after he was allegedly found in possession of someone else's driver's license in the 1800 block of Park Street. Police arrested the man at 12:35 a.m.

  • PETTY THEFT -- Someone stole 2014 and 2015 registration tabs from a vehicle at Lafayette Street and Encinal Avenue. The theft was reported about 10:05 a.m. Tabs from another vehicle were reported stolen about 20 minutes later in the 2300 block of Coral Sea Street, police said.

    WEDNESDAY, MAY 21

  • ROBBERY -- A robbery was reported about 3:20 a.m. in the in the 1300 block of Pearl Street, where a suspect brandished a firearm and stole cash from the victim before fleeing, police said.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- Vehicles were reported stolen just before 7 a.m. in the 2900 block of Southwood Drive; about 1:05 p.m. in the 900 block of Shorepoint Court; and shortly before midnight in the 1300 block of Harbor Bay Parkway.

  • BURGLARY -- Someone stole a bicycle from a garage in the 2000 block of San Jose Avenue in what police have classified as a burglary. The theft was reported about 9:50 a.m. Another burglary of a garage was reported at 10:25 a.m. in the 100 block of Chinaberry Lane, police said.

  • OUTSTANDING WARRANT -- A man, 33, who was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant was arrested about 6:55 a.m. on Park Street, police said.

  • PETTY THEFT -- Someone stole an unlocked bicycle from an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Schiller Street. The theft was reported about 1:05 p.m.

  • GRAND THEFT -- A thief entered a cell phone store in the 2600 block of Blanding Avenue and apparently used wire cutters to steal some display items, police said. Investigators learned about the theft shortly after 4 p.m.
