A 74-year-old Ross man who died under suspicious circumstances in Riverside County last month was the victim of a murder-suicide, authorities said Monday.
Robert Small, a former hotel executive for Fairmont Hotels and Walt Disney World, was found dead May 16 in a gated community at the Indian Wells Country Club.
He was in the residence of Gail Irene Temple, 75, who was found suffering from a gunshot wound. She died a few hours later at Desert Regional Medical Center.
After additional investigation, the Riverside County Sheriff's Office said Monday that Temple apparently killed Small before killing herself. But investigators did not release further details about the suspected motive and the relationship between Small and Temple.
Small, who lived in Ross and Rancho Mirage, is survived by his wife in Ross.
