Elton John will Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Bay Area.

The acclaimed singer-songwriter-pianist, who ranks as one of the world's best-selling artists, performs Oct. 2 at the SAP Center in San Jose.

Tickets are $29.50-$159.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. June 9 at www.ticketmaster.com. For presale information, visit www.eltonjohn.com.

John's Follow the Yellow Brick Road Tour celebrates the classic album "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," which was reissued last year in several formats in honor of its 40th anniversary.

John and his band will be performing "all the hits" at this concert, according to a news release. That's a hefty endeavor, given how many hits John has scored in his amazing career. His best-known songs include "Your Song," "Tiny Dancer," "Rocket Man" and "Levon."

It is reportedly the sixth time that the artist has performed at the SAP Center since it opened in 1994.
