OAKLAND -- A man fatally shot Thursday night outside his North Oakland home was identified by police Friday as Isiah Sudan, 22.
Officers responding to a ShotSpotter report and a call from a resident found Sudan about 9:35 p.m. in the 1000 block of 54th Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area of the shooting is a mostly residential and not far from the Emeryville border.
The killing was Oakland's 37th homicide of the year. Last year at this time there were 44 homicides reported in Oakland.
