Melanie Griffith wants a divorce from Antonio Banderas, according to TMZ.

The only rational explanation for this is that he finally relaxed his steel will and gave in to Salma Hayek. And, really, what judge or jury could blame him?

Griffith has filed legal documents, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending her 18-year marriage.

Eighteen years of going home to Melanie Griffith while making all those movies with Salma Hayek and Catherine Zeta-Jones. This man doesn't deserve divorce papers. He deserves a medal.

Griffith -- who is reportedly represented by queen celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser -- wants child support and sole physical and joint legal custody of the couple's daughter. Which is kind of useless because their only child, Stella, turns 18 in September.

Griffith is also asking for spousal support. The filing does not reportedly list a separation date.

Sources told TMZ the divorce is amicable. The dividing of property could be a little more complicated, as the couple owns lots of real estate in the U.S. and Spain.

For those counting at home, this is Griffith's fourth divorce (two from Don Johnson). She was also married to Steven Bauer. It's Banderas' second divorce.
