A traffic stop led to the arrest of two men Sunday at Pacific Avenue and Lafayette Street, where they were allegedly found traveling with a stolen loaded firearm.

The driver, 22, admitted possessing the weapon before he underwent field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said. His 20-year-old passenger was also arrested on a charge of possessing a stolen loaded firearm, plus he was found with suspected cocaine, according to police.

An officer initially pulled over their vehicle about 1:35 a.m. because the man behind the wheel was driving recklessly.

THURSDAY, JUNE 5

  • RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE -- Police recovered a stolen vehicle about noon in the 1800 block of Versailles Avenue.

  • BATTERY ON A POLICE OFFICER -- A woman, 19, arrested at the scene of a disturbance hit an officer on the arm and attempted to bite him before she kicked the window of a patrol car and shattered it, police said. A 23-year-old man was also arrested at the disturbance, which occurred about 4:40 p.m. in the 3200 block of Sterling Avenue.

  • BURGLARY -- A residential burglary was reported about 5:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Otis Drive.

    FRIDAY, JUNE 6

  • GRAND THEFT -- Someone stole all four wheels and tires from a vehicle in the 700 block of Santa Clara Avenue. The theft was reported about 5:40 a.m.

  • COMMERCIAL BURGLARY -- A thief stole electronic items from a business in the 1300 block of Harbor Bay Parkway. The theft was reported just after 9 a.m.

  • ABANDONED BOAT -- Police received a report about 2:05 p.m. that an abandoned boat was found sunk in the Oakland-Alameda Estuary.

  • SHOPLIFTING -- A teenager struggled for more than 10 minutes to escape from a security guard when he was confronted about stealing alcohol from the Lucky supermarket on Marina Village Parkway, police said. As a result of the physical struggle, the teen was arrested on suspicion of robbery instead of petty theft, police said. It happened about 3:30 p.m.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle theft was reported at 6:40 p.m. at Triumph Drive and Kingsbury Court.

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a man, 66, on suspicion of drunken driving after he was involved in a traffic collision about 10:25 p.m. in the 1000 block of Regent Street. He also faces a charge of violating his probation.

  • MARIJUANA POSSESSION -- An 18-year-old motorist was arrested after officers allegedly found him in possession of more than one ounce of marijuana and concentrated cannabis during a traffic stop about 11:40 p.m. in the 1200 block of Grand Street.

    SATURDAY, JUNE 7

  • MARIJUANA POSSESSION -- Police cited and released a man, 21, after he was allegedly found in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana at 1:40 a.m. in the 3000 block of Main Street.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A truck was reported stolen about 7:15 a.m. in the 1800 block of Clinton Street. Police also said a minivan was reported stolen about 9:45 a.m. in the 1500 block of Pacific Avenue.

    SUNDAY, JUNE 8

  • RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE -- Officers recovered a vehicle reported stolen to BART police about 1:20 a.m. in the 2300 block of Pacific Avenue. Police also said an attempted vehicle theft was reported about 12:25 p.m. in the 1900 block of North Loop Road.

  • PETTY THEFT -- Property from a woman's purse stolen at an Alameda restaurant was recovered in Berkeley a week later, police said. The woman did not report the initial theft. Police learned about the theft and recovery about 8:54 a.m.

  • SHOOTING AT BUILDING -- Someone fired a gunshot into a residence in the 1300 block of Regent Street. It was reported at 4:15 p.m.

  • ROBBERY -- A robbery was reported about 5:10 p.m. in the 2400 block of Encinal Avenue, where the robber displayed a revolver concealed in his waistband before stealing the victim's cell phone, police said.
