BERKELEY -- A man on a bicycle groped a woman walking at UC Berkeley on Sunday, police said.

The 20-year-old woman told police she was walking through the University Health Services Tang Center parking lot at 10:49 a.m. when the suspect rode up on his bicycle and grabbed her.

After she screamed, the suspect took off from the parking lot, located at Bancroft Way and Fulton Street, according to university police.

Officers searched the area but could not find the man. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a medium build and a beard. He was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and was riding a black fixed-gear bicycle with black spokes.

Police are investigating the incident as a sexual battery. The woman is not a UC Berkeley student, according to police.
