SAN LEANDRO -- A lottery ticket worth nearly half a million dollars that was sold by a liquor store in San Leandro last month has now been claimed, California Lottery officials said Friday.
According to the California Lottery, Milandi Almaweri bought her Mega Millions ticket on May 9 from San Leandro Express Liquors at 138 West Juana Ave.
Her ticket matched the numbers 10, 28, 39, 51 and 59, and missed only the Mega number.
Almaweri told Lottery officials that she only learned she had won last week when she checked multiple game tickets purchased over the past month.
Her prize is worth a total of $468,905.
