  • "Tyrant" (10 p.m., FX): This compelling new drama series follows the self-exiled son (Adam Rayner) of a Middle Eastern dictator who leaves his comfy home in California to visit his homeland for a relative's wedding. Soon, he is drawn back into the family business and turmoil happens.

  • "Covert Affairs" (10:01 p.m., USA): Bad guys, beware. Ace CIA agent Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) is back and ready for more spy games in Season 5 of the action drama. As the story resumes, she's ready to reclaim her life after traveling to Hong Kong to kill the despicable traitor Henry Wilcox (Gregory Itzin).
