Liam Neeson's nephew was hospitalized with a "serious" head injury Thursday after toppling 20 feet off a London telephone booth while out with friends.

Ronan Sexton, 31, son of the actor's sister Bernadette Sexton, was listed in critical condition at a London hospital following the 4 a.m. accident, one report said.

The accident comes five years after Neeson's wife, actress Natasha Richardson, 45, died after suffering a head injury while skiing.

Neeson recently reflected on losing his wife in a "60 Minutes" interview, saying Richardson's absence still "isn't real."

"(Her death) was never real," Neeson said. "It still kind of isn't. ... There's periods now in our New York residence when I hear the door opening, especially the first couple of years ... anytime I hear that door opening, I still think I'm going to hear her."
