OAKLAND -- The gourmet food truck trend has gone to the dogs.

Milo's Kitchen, a dog treat company based in San Francisco, is starting an "Off the Grid"-style food truck experience that caters to dogs and their pet parents.

Milo's Kitchen Treat Truck will hand out free tasty treats -- chicken meatballs and grilled burger bites -- from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at San Francisco's Marina Green, and on Saturday, the gourmet truck will head over the Bay to Point Isabel Dog Park in Richmond starting at 7:30 a.m. According to a news release, pet owners can take family photos and "doggy selfies" in a photo booth or hang out in the "Lapdog Lounge."

The truck plans to make a few "surprise" stops in Richmond, and it has summer tour stops scheduled across the country, including Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Minneapolis, Atlanta and New York City.
